Ela está dando aulas de matemática para seu crush skatista (Jaboukie Young-White, WiFi Ralph: Quebrando a Internet), que só parece admirá-la por seus fractais, e ela é impedida de sair com os garotos legais na praia porque sua supermãe superprotetora (a indicada ao Oscar® Toni Collette, Knives Out), proibiu Ruby de entrar na água.

O Kraken jurou proteger os oceanos do mundo contra as sereias vaidosas e famintas por poder que lutam com o Kraken há eras.
