The 2024 Ferrari Purosangue (US$400,000, ~CAD$500,000) is the first four-door, four-seater to ever come out of the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy. A ferocious naturally-aspirated V12 sits up front-mid, creating 715 horsepower with a stunning 8250 rpm redline. It also has a unique active suspension system that Ferrari claims is a world first, and a trans-axle transmission layout to help achieve its target 49:51% weight distribution. But all that tech, power, and cabin room seems to weigh a lot.

Die neue Rotel Michi-Serie besteht aus dem Vorverstärker P5, der Stereoendstufe S5 sowie den Monoblöcken M8. Bereits in den 90er Jahren kam vom englisch-japanischen Traditionshersteller Rotel eine edle Michi-Serie auf den Markt. Damals in Silber mit knallroten Seitenteilen. Jetzt knüpft Rotel mit den stringent und zeitlos designten Komponenten an frühere Erfolge an. Und das mit einer Optik und Technik, die ihresgleichen sucht.
Bei allen Michi-Verstärkern fällt sofort das großflächigen Display auf, welches man nur sieht, wenn die Geräte eingeschaltet sind. Ansonsten glänzen die Michis in tiefen Schwarz. Feinste Aluminiumoberflächen runden das Gesamtbild ab. Die Rotel Michi P5-Vorstufe besitzt symmetrische XLR- und unsymmetrische Ein-und Ausgänge. Der eingebaute AKM DA-Wandler liest fast alles, was digital eingehen könnte - inklusive DSD und MQA. Ein Kopfhörerverstärker ist ebenso mit an Bord.

Auf der Verstärkerseite hat man die Wahlzwischen der Rotel Michi S5 Stereoendstufe mit 2x500 Watt RMS an 8 Ohm und den beiden Rotel Michi M8 Monoblöcken mit unfassbaren 2x1080 Watt RMS an 8 Ohm. An 4 Ohm sind es nach DIN sogar fast 2000 Watt pro Kanal.

Bei allen Geräten der Michi-Serie wurde höchster Wert auf die technische, klangfördernde Komponenten gelegt. Riesige Netzteile mit Ringkerntrafos und ein perfektes Platinenlayout ohne Wirrwarr sind bei Rotel in allen Michis Pflicht. Michi bedeutet auf japanisch „Der Weg“.
